1940's vintage William Spratling Silver "Knot" Buttons, set of 6

Dimensions: 1/2" dia., 1/4" deep; 23.9 grams total

Marks: (4) buttons are marked with the Spratling Silver stamp; (1) button has the WS print circle, and (1) button is unmarked

Condition: very good for their age; some slight surface wear; excellent patina

These are cast hollow buttons. They are a nice interpretation of the ubiquitous leather knot button. Imagine a time when silver was so inexpensive that you could replace buttons on a favored garment with silver ones! These are a nice collectible set of buttons.
