This is a pretty rare and collectible piece. The Parrot's crown and tail feathers are created with shaped silver wire. The large amethyst cabochon is cleverly held in place with a piece of silver evoking the Parrot's eye and contrasting eye feathers. The body and horn are repoussé soldered onto a solid back.

The overall effect is very elegant, and it's one of Aguilar's best bird pieces.
